Philomina K. Eblacas, 87, of Oahu, formerly of Hilo and Kona, died May 11 on Oahu. Born in Kalaupapa, Moloka’i, she was a housewife, musician, vocalist, practitioner of hula and traditional Hawaiian arts and crafts, and member of the Glad Tidings Church in Hilo. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. Burial at Mauna Kea Memorial Park in Papaikou. Survived by sons, Wilson (Jeannette) Kailiponi of Modesto, Calif., and Philip (Sharleen) Pavao of Hilo; daughters, Adele Mae Pavao, Joylene (Eugene) Cole and Adelina (Dean) Johnasen of Oahu; 38 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Felicita R. “Madeline” “Angie” Gaston, 85, of Hilo died April 30 at home. Born in North Kona, she was a homemaker and member of the Naalehu Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pamela “Pam” Sue Gorman, 25, of Kapaau died May 7 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Sonora, Calif., she was a food waitress for Merriman’s Restaurant. Woodrow Christopher Hoke, 95, of Hilo died March 26 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired bartender in San Francisco, worked for Matson Lines and U.S. President Lines, and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, U.S. Engineering Division and U.S. Merchant Marines.
